First, a confession:
Currently only one of us owns (and wears) a fanny pack. Kendra wants one real bad (see below).

Second, a clarification:
We don't wear fanny packs all the time. We (at the moment, just Arin) only wear them for biking because you've got to carry keys, chapstick, a cell phone and a snack and backpacks make your back sweat too much. No, our fanny packs aren't leather or lozenge shaped. They are sporty.

Third, the gameplan:
We're fairly recent Philadelphia transplants from Upstate New York (Arin - Sept 2004, Kendra - Sept 2005) and we want to explore Philadelphia but we think walking takes too long and driving doesn't give you the same options (ie, stopping abrubptly and frequently and veering onto hidden trails without warning). So every Saturday, weather and schedules permitting, we plan to pull out the map and toddle out on our bikes into the wilds of Philly.

So if you want to discover Philadelphia's hidden gems with us armchair quarterback style please read along. We're open to suggestions so comment away - we want to try to tackle as much of Philly as we can before it snows!
